Seagate is hiring a Servo Architecture Engineer to provide high-level design and architecture for our future hard drive roadmap. You'll join the Servo Electronics Group, solving multidisciplinary technical problems to enable aggressive advancement in HDD areal density and performance.
What You'll Do
- Solve challenging multidisciplinary technical problems and lead extendibility initiatives in Embedded System design.
- Focus on enabling the servo code and electronics architecture for next-generation features.
- Identify code and hardware settings that pose technical problems and engineering bottlenecks.
- Develop and implement HDD solutions addressing design problems.
- Perform design validation and verification.
- Participate in technology development for HDD multi-actuator and parallelism initiatives.
- Work in an open-minded environment that supports and fosters innovation.
- Support solutions deployment in the factory for successful product development at high volume.
What We're Looking For
- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, ECE, or Computer Engineering.
- Master’s degree in the same areas with 1+ years of experience, including in a University setting.
- Knowledge and skills in RISC-V and Embedded Systems.
- High level of comfort with Matlab and Embedded software development.
Nice to Have
- Programming for embedded systems and real-time computing.
- Experience with Matlab + Simulink, C, and Python.
- Data collection using scopes and lab equipment.
- Background in Signal Processing, Control systems, or related implementation.
