About the Role
This position supports the installation, maintenance, and repair of customer-facing systems. Technicians diagnose issues, replace faulty components, and ensure equipment operates according to specifications. The role involves direct interaction with clients and collaboration with technical teams to uphold service standards.
Responsibilities
- Install and configure customer equipment at residential and business locations
- Diagnose technical issues using standardized testing procedures
- Repair or replace malfunctioning hardware components
- Perform routine maintenance on network-connected devices
- Document service activities and update work logs promptly
- Follow safety protocols during field operations
- Communicate technical details clearly to non-technical users
- Respond to service requests within defined timeframes
- Verify system functionality after service interventions
- Escalate complex issues to higher-level support teams
- Adhere to company standards for service quality and professionalism
- Transport tools and equipment to job sites as needed
- Maintain inventory of spare parts and report supply levels
- Follow up with customers to confirm resolution of issues
- Support emergency service calls outside regular hours when required
Nice to Have
- Certification in electronics or telecommunications
- Experience with fiber optic installation
- Familiarity with VoIP systems
- Previous work with ISP or utility service providers
- Overtime availability during peak service periods
