The Service Engineer plays a critical role in ensuring the reliable performance of marine engine governors and associated control systems. This position is responsible for executing preventive and corrective maintenance, conducting technical diagnostics, and leading on-site service operations aboard vessels and at customer facilities. The engineer ensures compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards while delivering high-quality service solutions. In addition to technical expertise, the role involves direct customer engagement, mentoring junior technicians, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the service team. Responsibilities
- Conduct risk assessments and consistently follow local regulations for workplace health, safety, and the environment.
- Carry out overhauls of governors in alignment with established work plans.
- Diagnose and resolve issues with governor test benches through systematic troubleshooting.
- Address onboard vessel issues such as governor hunting or fluid leaks.
- Supervise and coordinate assigned team members during project execution.
- Engage with customers during site visits for inspections or audits.
- Produce detailed inspection reports for completed tasks.
- Generate and deliver Service Work Reports to customers following job completion, in accordance with company standards.
- Inform and advise customers on available products and services to support their operational needs.
