Leadtech is looking for an SEO Editor to join our team. You will be responsible for transforming articles into high-quality, search-optimized content, managing a network of external writers, and driving organic traffic through data-informed improvements.
What You'll Do
- Copyedit and proofread SEO-based content on a range of topics
- Seek, manage, and provide detailed feedback to external writers and subject-matter experts
- Expand the pool of freelance writers, authors, and experts at a fast and sustained pace
- Monitor content performance and propose editorial improvements based on key metrics (Search Console, Analytics, Ahrefs, visibility on LLMs) to improve search engine positioning
What We're Looking For
- 4+ years of proven experience as an SEO proofreader, copyeditor, and/or web content editor
- Fluent in both English and Spanish
- A bachelor’s degree, preferably in Journalism and/or Communications
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to respond to shifting priorities
- Experience in content creation and/or editing within the tourism and travel industry, including related administrative processes
- Love for the English language and a passion for researching trends and market analysis
- Proficiency in understanding how Google ranks results, especially with AI Overviews and AI Mode
- Proven familiarity with SEO best practices like E-E-A-T
- Comfortable working with AI technologies and exploring new tools
- Excellent self-motivation, written/verbal communication, and people skills
- Team player with a collaborative spirit and willingness to learn from others
Nice to Have
- Specific training in search engine optimization best practices, web authority, digital PR, social media, and/or digital marketing tools
- Good command of languages such as German, Italian, or Brazilian Portuguese
