At Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors, we’re looking for a Senior/Staff Solutions Engineer to act as a strategic partner for our enterprise clients. You will guide them through complex sales cycles and help them realize the full value of vector-based technologies through deep collaboration with our sales, product, and engineering teams.
What You'll Do
- Partner closely with sales teams and channel partners to understand customer needs and strategize on deal execution.
- Deliver engaging, value-based demos and technical presentations to both executive and developer audiences.
- Lead hands-on Proofs of Concept (PoCs), guiding clients through product evaluation and implementation.
- Connect business challenges to technical solutions, positioning our product as a key part of the customer’s stack.
- Maintain strong technical knowledge of industry trends, including competing and complementary tools.
- Collaborate with internal teams (Product, Engineering, Marketing) to improve product positioning and messaging.
- Stay agile in a dynamic environment, ready to pivot priorities and contribute across the organization.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in enterprise technology.
- At least 3 years in a pre-sales or solutions engineering role.
- Exceptional presentation skills — comfortable leading executive discussions or coding in front of a technical audience.
- Strong foundation in databases, data warehouses, analytics platforms, and cloud architecture (AWS, Azure, GCP preferred).
- Hands-on experience with SQL, analytics, and cloud data workflows.
- Ability to align customer business objectives with technical solutions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, or a related field — or equivalent practical experience.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Python, Scala, JavaScript, or data science workflows.
- Based in EST time zone.
