Peek is looking for a DevOps Engineer to own our infrastructure-as-code, accelerate development and deployment processes, increase reliability, and scale our platform as we grow. You'll be part of a mission-driven company connecting the world through experiences.
What You'll Do
- Contribute to infrastructure-as-code to accelerate development and deployment.
- Scale the platform to support company growth.
- Participate in an on-call schedule.
- Occasionally work outside normal business hours on infrastructure upgrades and maintenance.
- Automate self-service aspects of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Practice SRE, continuously improving observability.
- Ensure security and compliance best practices are integral to workflows.
- Build playbooks and mentor other engineers on the team.
What We're Looking For
- At least 3 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or Platform Engineer.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, including troubleshooting cluster-related issues.
- Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Pulumi.
- Strong scripting skills in Bash and Python, with experience writing automation scripts for CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience working with a major cloud provider (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
- Solid understanding of networking concepts such as VPCs, DNS, TLS, load balancing, and VPNs.
- Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and modern CI/CD systems such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Codefresh, or ArgoCD.
Nice to Have
- Experience explicitly using Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Experience with some high-level programming languages such as Python, Ruby, and Typescript.
- Experience working with databases such as PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
- Experience working with data warehouses such as Redshift and BigQuery.
- Experience with caching systems such as Redis and Fastly.
- Experience working with serverless platforms such as GCP Cloud Run, GCP Cloud Functions, or AWS Lambda.

Team & Environment
You'll join a small DevOps team supporting over 50 engineers. We are a remote but highly organized team building a service-oriented architecture on top of Kubernetes and GCP.
