A Senior UX Designer will lead the creation of intuitive digital experiences for the Genetic Sciences business. The role includes managing the full UX lifecycle, working with product managers and engineers, and ensuring accessible, user-focused software that meets both user needs and business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Lead the complete UX design process, from initial research and discovery through prototyping, testing, and final product delivery.
- Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to define user needs and project goals.
- Perform user research, usability testing, and data analysis to guide design decisions.
- Create wireframes, user flows, interactive prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups to clearly convey design concepts.
- Promote user-centered design practices and ensure compliance with accessibility standards.
- Help establish and maintain UX design standards and systems.
- Keep up to date with evolving design trends, tools, and technologies.
Requirements
- Proficient in design and prototyping tools such as Figma.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and presentation abilities.
- A robust portfolio showcasing a variety of UX and UI design projects.
Nice to Have
- A bachelor’s degree in design, human-computer interaction (HCI), or a related field; equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
- Over five years of UX design experience, ideally in a senior or leadership role.
- Experience working in agile development environments is advantageous.
- Background in life sciences or genetic sciences is preferred.
- Familiarity with UX performance metrics and data-informed design practices.
- Experience designing for mobile and responsive web applications.
- Knowledge of front-end technologies including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is helpful.
- Solid understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG) and inclusive design principles.
