Responsibilities
- Accountable for the solicitation, underwriting, and execution of a large and complex portfolio of Professional Liability (E&O) business including Architects & Engineers E&O, Contractors Professional Liability, and Miscellaneous E&O
- Review, negotiate, and execute policy terms and conditions, including manuscript wordings, where appropriate
- Achieve rate, retention, and growth targets through disciplined underwriting and strong portfolio management
- Demonstrate elite underwriting by applying market expertise, innovative problem-solving, accurate file documentation, and adherence to underwriting protocols and product strategies
- Proactively engage in marketing activities with brokers including external presentations and participating in industry events
- Work closely with brokers, clients, management, and product leaders to ensure consistency, alignment, and execution excellence
- Build, maintain, and expand broker and client relationships through regular marketing activity, active prospecting, and development of a strong pipeline of new business
- Take a leadership role in managing internal and external meetings with professionalism, clarity, and mutual accountability for results
- Collaborate across LMC’s business units to leverage multi-line and cross-sell opportunities
- Recommend and execute innovative solutions to improve renewal efficiency and enhance ease of doing business for brokers and clients
- Maintain accurate, complete, and well-organized underwriting files in compliance with audit, governance, and underwriting best practices
- Participate in continuous learning and professional development through industry events, seminars, courses, and internal knowledge sharing
- Perform related duties, including reporting, presentations, and special projects, as required to support overall product line success
