Simcorp is hiring a Senior Testing Engineer for the DMS Change Management Team, which provides critical reference data management and valuation solutions to financial institutions. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and security of software applications within the Capital Markets domain through strategic testing and process leadership.
What You'll Do
- Design and execute test plans and strategies aligned with business requirements and project objectives.
- Develop comprehensive test cases covering various functionalities, user journeys, and edge cases.
- Execute manual and automated test cases, identify, report, and track defects.
- Perform performance and security testing to ensure the system meets standards.
- Analyze test results and recommend improvements to optimize testing processes.
- Effectively communicate with stakeholders including developers, product owners, and business analysts.
- Collaborate with the development team to resolve defects and improve code quality.
- Participate in code reviews and provide testing feedback.
- Present testing results and findings in clear and concise reports.
- Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, regulations, and testing best practices in the Capital Markets domain.
- Contribute to the testing community through knowledge sharing, presentations, or internal training.
- Take ownership of specific testing areas and become a subject matter expert.
What We're Looking For
- 5-6 years of experience as a Test Professional in Quality Assurance.
- Expertise of ETL Process.
- Up-to-date knowledge of the latest testing developments.
- Basic Business Understanding of Financial Data Management – Reference data, Asset Managers, Corporate Actions.
- Fluency in English.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a self-assured approach.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills including listening skills.
- Proactive nature and a natural drive for problem-solving.
- Enthusiastic, committed and result-oriented.
- Capital Markets Domain knowledge, preferably with BUY SIDE Firms and experience.
- Experience working with Reference Data Management setup and understanding of various asset classes (Equity, Derivatives, Fixed Income) and Market data feeds (Reuters, Bloomberg, MarkIT).
Nice to Have
- ISTQB certification is a plus.
- Expertise in any area of Financial Data Management (Reference data, Asset Managers, Corporate Actions) or a combination would be a distinctive advantage.
