As a Senior Tax Specialist, you will play a central role in shaping and maintaining the global tax framework for a growing international e-commerce platform focused on sustainability. Based in Bordeaux, you'll ensure tax compliance and efficiency across more than 17 markets, managing both indirect and direct tax obligations while supporting key strategic projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee global VAT, customs, and sales tax compliance across EU, UK, APAC, and US jurisdictions
- Lead DAC7 and international data reporting obligations
- Design and implement compliant invoicing systems for marketplace revenue streams
- Maintain tax-related KYC policies for third-party sellers and respond to tax authority inquiries
- Prepare income tax computations for French and foreign legal entities
- Manage monthly tax close processes, transfer pricing analysis, and documentation
- Lead R&D tax credit applications and support audits and examinations
- Prepare financial statements for approval and coordinate shareholder and board meetings
- Develop governance materials and assist in corporate restructurings and transactions
- Administer employee equity programs and track capitalization tables
- Collaborate with Finance, Legal, Product, and Operations teams on new business initiatives
- Supervise external tax advisors and ensure compliance with EPR regulations
Qualifications
Candidates should hold a Master’s degree in Business Tax Law or an equivalent credential demonstrating deep tax expertise. At least five years of professional tax experience—gained in a Big Four firm, law firm, or in-house role—is required.
Essential skills include strong analytical capabilities, proficiency with Excel, BigQuery, Tableau, and emerging AI tools, and the ability to communicate complex tax concepts clearly to non-specialists. You should be proactive, solution-oriented, and fluent in both French and English.
Preference will be given to applicants with experience in e-commerce, corporate law (especially M&A and governance), multi-jurisdictional tax environments, or those holding a bar qualification.

This is a hybrid role based in Bordeaux, offering two remote workdays per week, one fully remote week per quarter, and three additional flexible days annually.
