What You'll Do
Oversee field survey activities across northern Canada, ensuring accurate data collection for legal boundaries, mineral claims, mining developments, and construction projects. Work directly with project managers to align field results with client goals and deliver reliable, timely outcomes. Maintain clear communication with both field and office teams to support smooth project execution.
Document and transfer all field data, including notes, measurements, and calculations, to office personnel for processing. Operate and maintain survey instruments such as GPS/GNSS rovers, total stations, and utility locators, ensuring equipment remains in optimal condition. Follow all safety protocols and contribute to a culture of health and hazard awareness in remote locations.
Lead by example in physical endurance and field navigation, often working in isolated areas while carrying gear over long distances. Support team efficiency and adherence to schedules, adapting to changing project demands in northern climates.
Requirements
- Completion of a Geomatics or related technical diploma program
- Proven field survey experience, with demonstrated leadership in outdoor environments
- Holding a valid Class 5 driver’s license
- Physical capability to work in demanding terrain and extreme weather conditions
Preferred Qualifications
- Current CLS designation or enrollment as an Articling Pupil
- Background in energy, mining, or construction surveying
- Current safety certifications such as H2S, First Aid, CSTS, or Wildlife Awareness training
- Strong wilderness navigation skills and comfort in remote outdoor settings

Work Environment
