Shape the future of a growing consumer platform as a Senior or Staff Frontend Engineer, driving technical decisions and product execution across both web and mobile. You'll play a central role in building a seamless, high-performance experience for users who rely on our platform to connect and explore new ways of living and traveling.
What You’ll Do
- Lead frontend architecture and implementation for both our Next.js web application and React Native mobile app, ensuring consistency, performance, and scalability.
- Collaborate directly with founders, product designers, and engineers to turn ideas into robust, user-friendly features.
- Design and maintain reusable UI components and help evolve our cross-platform design system.
- Optimize applications for speed, responsiveness, and accessibility across devices and network conditions.
- Integrate with backend services to deliver smooth, reliable data flow and interactions.
- Mentor and support future engineers as we grow the team, fostering strong engineering practices and culture.
- Work closely with technical advisors to solve complex challenges and make informed tradeoffs.
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years of experience building and scaling consumer-facing applications with React and React Native.
- Strong command of JavaScript, TypeScript, and modern tooling including Webpack and Metro.
- Familiarity with native mobile build processes and how they interface with React Native.
- Proven ability to design reusable, maintainable UI systems and deliver pixel-perfect implementations.
- Deep understanding of performance optimization for web and mobile environments.
- Experience leading technical direction on critical projects, whether as a tech lead or senior individual contributor.
- A pragmatic mindset—able to balance speed, quality, and long-term scalability.
- Excellent communication skills and comfort working cross-functionally in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment.
- Passion for building products that meaningfully impact how people live and connect.
