Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of foundational platform services
- Collaborate with engineering teams to identify and solve systemic challenges
- Drive improvements in reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency
- Mentor engineers and influence technical direction across teams
- Define and enforce best practices for platform architecture and tooling
- Work closely with product and infrastructure teams to align platform capabilities with business needs
- Evaluate and integrate new technologies to enhance platform capabilities
- Contribute to incident response and post-mortem processes for critical systems
- Ensure platform solutions meet security, compliance, and regulatory standards
- Champion automation, observability, and developer experience improvements
- Guide long-term technical roadmaps for platform components
- Promote reusability and standardization across internal platforms
- Participate in architectural reviews and system design discussions
- Support on-call rotations for critical platform services
- Foster a culture of operational excellence and continuous improvement
- Balance technical debt with feature development priorities
- Communicate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences
- Drive adoption of platform tools and frameworks across engineering
- Collaborate on capacity planning and performance optimization
- Ensure platform decisions consider cost-efficiency and sustainability
