Eaton Corporation's Electrical Sector America (ES/A) is seeking a Senior Specialist Systems Engineer to join an interdisciplinary product development team. You will be responsible for leading systems engineering activities for complex Cyber-Physical Systems, including requirements, architecture, design, and verification strategies. This hybrid position is based in Raleigh, NC.
What You'll Do
- Perform Requirements Engineering, including definition, traceability, analysis, and management for Cyber-Physical Systems.
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to elicit customer needs and develop proper requirements sets.
- Design optimized, scalable, and re-usable Cyber-Physical Architectures with other Systems Engineers.
- Define an efficient Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodology to support product development.
- Assist development and QA teams in test case development to ensure proper methodologies and coverage.
- Educate Engineering, Marketing, and other stakeholders on industry best practices for systems engineering.
- Bridge between Product Level Requirements and Architecture to Software and Hardware systems.
- Apply organizational goals and strategies in defining embedded and controls systems architectures.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Ten (10+) or more years of experience performing Systems Engineering roles within Cyber Physical Products.
- Demonstrated experience working and interfacing with agile, scrum, and/or DevOps frameworks.

Nice to Have
- Master’s or specialization in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
- Experience in mentoring junior team members.
- Systems engineering certification (e.g., INCOSE ASEP/CSEP/ESEP).
- Cyber-Physical System Integration Experience.

- Requirements Management tools: DNG (IBM Doors Next-Generation), Jama.
- Requirements, Specifications and Use Case tools: Jira and Confluence.
- System level testing methodologies: Hardware in the Loop (HIL).
- System Architecture Design languages: SysML.
- Control Systems Architecture & Design.
Team & Environment
You will report directly to the Technical Director and work across Division and Centers of Excellence (COEs).
Benefits & Compensation
- Compensation: $154,000 - $225,000 per year.
