Wealthsimple is hiring a Senior Solution Engineer to solve our customers' most complex problems and be a key player in closing large deals. You will work directly with our sales team and channel partners to understand customer needs, strategize on winning sales cycles, and guide prospects from demonstration through implementation.
What You'll Do
- Present technology and vision to both executive and technical audiences at prospects and customers.
- Work hands-on to demonstrate and communicate value throughout the sales cycle, from demo to proof of concept to design.
- Maintain a deep understanding of the competitive landscape and how to position our solutions effectively.
- Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing to continuously improve products and marketing.
What We're Looking For
- 7-8 years of industry experience with a minimum of 5 years in a pre-sales environment.
- Outstanding presenting skills to technical and executive audiences.
- Broad experience with large-scale database or data warehouse technology, ETL, analytics, and cloud technologies (Data Lake, Data Mesh, Data Fabric).
- Hands-on expertise with SQL, SQL analytics, and Python.
- A proactive curiosity for the AI landscape and the ability to be a technical thought partner for customers.
- Ability to connect a customer’s specific business problems with technical solutions.
- Ability to perform deep discovery of customer architecture and align it with data architecture best practices.
- A university degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or related fields, or equivalent experience.
- Expect approximately 30% travel.
Nice to Have
- A Master's in Data Science or Business Administration.
- Experience working with Global System Integrators (GSIs) like EY, Deloitte, or Accenture.
