HSBC Group is hiring a Senior Solution Architect and Technical Product Manager

HSBC Group is looking for a Senior Solution Architect and Technical Product Manager for a pivotal role based in Switzerland. This hybrid position combines managing the operation of tokenisation technology on AWS with architectural leadership for systems integration. You will be accountable for a small team enabling technical hosting and run-time operations, integrating with consumer business applications, and providing subject expertise to global teams deploying solutions in Switzerland.

What You'll Do

• Work with the Product Owner and DevOps team to be responsible for the delivery, ongoing success, and continuous improvement of the SDPT platform.
• Formulate test strategies, including test automation, test data, test environments, non-functional and security testing.
• Ensure compliance with mandatory and regulatory requirements, control objectives, data controls, technical currency, data standards, and implementation of business imperatives.
• Ensure adherence to service management standards, service resilience, service sustainability, and recovery time objectives.
• Pursue high levels of automation.
• Manage vendor relationship(s) related to the SDPT underlying components.
• Manage total cost of ownership of the SDPT platform.
• Manage stakeholders from cyber, risk, and compliance functions of the Swiss bank interested in secure client data management.
• Define solution designs for changes in the Swiss hosted IT landscape, supporting the iWPB technology strategy and Future State Architecture.
• Articulate and address associated risks, issues, and technical debt.
• Ensure design integrity is maintained throughout the development lifecycle, liaising with engineering teams to incorporate standards and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with technical product owners to improve the current landscape.
• Act as an interface to other engineering groups both regional and at Group level.
• Lead proof of concepts for new technical solutions and designs.
• Lead clear choice of buy versus build decisions and vendor selection.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Public Cloud Certified (e.g., Amazon Web Services, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform).
• Extensive experience in technology engineering or related technical leadership roles, with a strong focus on solution architecture in the Private Banking/Wealth Management domain.
• Strong understanding of agile methodologies and experience with tools like Jira, Confluence, or similar for backlog management and collaboration.
• Track record in coordinating solutions across multiple technology platforms and teams that meet overall compliance with regulators.
• Analytical mindset with data-driven decision-making ability.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Working experience in a Swiss Private Banking context.
• Working experience with AWS.
• Knowledge of Swiss regulations, especially regarding banking secrecy and data protection.
• Coding capability in Python or Java, REST APIs, Springboot Microservices.
• Must be a Swiss or EU citizen or hold a valid Swiss work permit due to immigration restrictions.

Nice to Have

• Any working knowledge of HSBC's vast IT landscape, especially Private Banking oriented.
• Familiarity with physical infrastructure design.
• Experience of Machine Learning, Data Science, and Generative AI.

You will manage a small team and work closely with the Product Owner and DevOps team. Primary stakeholders include in-country interested parties and global stakeholders such as Sub-Value Stream, Business Outcome & Technical Leads, and Technical Product Owners.
