Red Hat is hiring a Senior Software Quality Engineer to join the team responsible for the OpenShift Container Platform. In this role, you will be integral to ensuring the quality of our enterprise Kubernetes platform, applying your deep technical understanding of containers and cloud-native technologies to design test strategies and enhance our automation.

What You'll Do

Execute manual and automated tests for OpenShift and deliver clear status reports in a timely manner.
Conduct failure analysis, identify and document new bugs, and communicate their customer impact to developers and support.
Coordinate with cross-component teams on bug verification and regression testing.
Work with release teams to manage product delivery-related testing.
Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks, CI, and scripts using Golang for OpenShift.
Employ AI-driven testing frameworks to automate test generation, optimize execution, identify edge cases, and enhance coverage.
Participate in test planning and product planning processes.
Research new features and design corresponding test cases.
Continuously learn and maintain an overview of current technologies.
Work in a fast-paced Agile global environment with talented Quality Engineers.
Provide mentoring and leadership to junior Quality Engineers.

What We're Looking For

An engineering degree or higher, or equivalent in computer science or a related field.
5+ years of professional experience in a QE or similar role.
Testing experience working with globally distributed QE team members.
Familiarity with standard testing methodologies and techniques.
Knowledge of the Linux operating system (any distribution).
Programming skills in Golang, Python, or another language.
Knowledge of Linux containers, Kubernetes, Red Hat OpenStack Platform, or Red Hat OpenShift.
Motivation and dedication to learning and collaboration.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and learn quickly.
Solid written and verbal communication skills in English.

Nice to Have

Knowledge of cloud platforms: AWS EC2, Google Compute Engine, or Microsoft Azure.
Knowledge of CI/CD and Jenkins.
Knowledge of security testing.
Contributions to open source projects or publicly available code samples.
