Modernizing Medicine, Inc. (ModMed) is seeking a Senior Software Quality Engineer to join our team. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality, innovative healthcare technology solutions that improve patient outcomes. This position involves designing and executing comprehensive test strategies to validate our software products across web, mobile, and desktop platforms.

What You'll Do

Design, develop, and implement robust test plans, test cases, and test scripts for complex software applications.
Execute manual and automated tests across various platforms and environments.
Identify, document, and track software defects, working closely with development teams for timely resolution.
Participate actively in all phases of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
Collaborate with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to understand requirements and define acceptance criteria.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes, tools, and best practices.
Develop and maintain automated test suites using industry-standard tools.
Perform root cause analysis for defects and propose preventative measures.
Mentor junior QA engineers and contribute to team knowledge sharing.
Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends in software quality assurance.

What We're Looking For

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
5+ years of progressive experience in software quality assurance or software testing.
Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes.
Proficiency in designing and executing test cases for complex web and/or mobile applications.
Experience with test automation frameworks and tools like Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
Demonstrated experience using AI coding assistants (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor) to accelerate code generation and streamline debugging.
Proven ability to leverage LLMs to generate comprehensive documentation and automated tests.
Solid understanding of SQL and database testing.
Experience with API testing tools like Postman or SoapUI.
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to Have

Prior experience in the healthcare technology industry.
