The Home Depot is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to independently design and build applications that directly serve our customers and associates. You will be responsible for the full lifecycle of software development, from redesigning existing products to deploying and supporting production applications.

What You'll Do

Develop, test, deploy, and maintain software with a clear understanding of the business value it provides.
Develop comprehensive test suites to enable the rapid and safe deployment of code to production.
Collaborate with team members in agile processes and work with the Product Team to refine user stories.
Help grow junior engineers by providing technical guidance and leading discussions on modern development practices.

What We're Looking For

Must be eighteen years of age or older.
Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
Knowledge, skills, and abilities typically acquired through a bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.
3 years of relevant work experience.

Nice to Have

2-4 years of relevant work experience.
Experience with front-end technology such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks including React.
Experience with an object-oriented programming language, preferably Java.
Experience with Relational or NoSQL databases, cloud computing, CI/CD tools, and modern software design patterns.
Experience working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Experience with security frameworks for user and service authorization and authentication.
Experience creating and executing unit, functional, destructive, and performance tests.
Experience with modern debugging and root cause analysis techniques.
Experience with a version control system.
