As a Senior Software Engineer, you'll shape the backbone of a high-performance web application platform, ensuring it evolves with growing demands. You'll work across the full stack to build reliable APIs and services, troubleshoot live issues, and continuously refine system architecture for resilience and scalability.
What You’ll Do
- Architect, implement, and maintain backend services and APIs that operate efficiently at scale.
- Partner with Product, Business, and Data Science teams to translate complex customer needs into technical solutions.
- Lead improvements in system design, advocating for best practices in performance, security, and maintainability.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and apply them to keep the platform innovative and future-ready.
- Contribute to a culture of engineering excellence through thoughtful design, code reviews, and agile execution.
Who You Are
- You hold a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or have equivalent experience with at least five years in technical software roles.
- You think from first principles—breaking down complex problems and building logical, effective solutions.
- You understand how distributed systems work together and have a proven ability to design scalable, maintainable architectures.
- You thrive in cross-functional, remote-first environments and communicate clearly across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- You value ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement, with a focus on delivering measurable impact.
Preferred Experience
- Proficiency in Python, Flask, RESTful API design, and AWS infrastructure.
- Familiarity with Docker, Git, Elasticsearch, Spark, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Background as an early engineer in a startup, having built and scaled a product from the ground up.
