We are seeking a seasoned professional adept across the entire web technology landscape with demonstrated expertise in developing and maintaining enterprise-level production systems. This individual will construct features utilized daily by our clients. Our technological infrastructure leverages Elixir, React, and Postgres. River is experiencing rapid expansion, having secured over $50 million from prominent investors including Goldcrest, Kingsway, Polychain, M13, DG, and Valor. We have transparently published our organizational financials and reserve documentation, allowing clients and team members to independently validate our business's resilience and progression. What you will be doing: - Design and implement innovative features within our React + Elixir application and API framework - Collaborate closely with product management to strategize and define project scopes - Generate superior, thoroughly tested code - Engage in comprehensive code evaluation processes - Contribute to establishing long-term engineering organizational culture What we seek in candidates: - Minimum 4 years software engineering experience - Proven track record designing, constructing, and maintaining scalable production services - Demonstrated ability to produce reliable, high-quality code with system ownership - Expertise solving complex, ambiguous challenges - Genuine enthusiasm for River's mission - Comprehensive understanding of web security principles Advantageous qualifications: - Fintech background - Proficiency with React, Elixir, Postgres, Kubernetes - Experience in rapidly expanding organizational environments - Bitcoin ecosystem interest Location & Compensation: - 100% remote opportunities across Americas and Europe, with offices in SF, NYC, and Columbus - Salary range between $150,000 - $220,000 contingent on skills and experience - Substantial equity stock options - Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision benefits - Unlimited PTO - Separate parental leave policy - 401k retirement plan Compensation Range: $150K - $220K
