Responsibilities
- Work closely with developers, operations, and architects to define project needs and convert them into automated infrastructure solutions.
- Improve system architecture, processes, and tooling through teamwork and innovative approaches.
- Lead technical conversations to ensure cloud systems are secure, resilient, and highly available.
- Create and manage reusable components for compute, storage, networking, and security using Infrastructure as Code.
- Develop standardized deployment pipelines and workflows for consistent application releases.
- Write automation scripts to build scalable, fault-tolerant systems with an emphasis on immutable infrastructure and containers.
- Design and validate automated backup, restore, and disaster recovery processes across platforms.
- Use Cluster API (CAPI) to automate the lifecycle of Kubernetes clusters.
- Promote security in Kubernetes by applying strict role-based access controls, network policies, vulnerability scanning, and threat monitoring.
- Produce and update documentation, operational guides, standards, and architectural diagrams.
- Help development teams automate configuration management and maintain services in an internal developer portal.
- Ensure all technical solutions are cost-efficient and equipped with full monitoring capabilities.
- Diagnose and resolve issues across development, testing, and production environments.
- Architect and deploy distributed systems that are scalable and highly available.
- Continuously evaluate and integrate industry best practices to enhance workflows and reliability.
- Guide product teams and junior engineers in cloud platforms and DevOps methodologies.
Requirements
- Minimum of four years of hands-on experience with AWS, Kubernetes, and DevOps functions.
- Proven background in building and deploying containerized applications using GitOps tools like Argo CD or Flux CD.
- Skilled in managing infrastructure automation using GitOps with Terraform or Open Tofu.
- Experience creating Helm charts for packaging and deploying applications on Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of cloud-native delivery tools such as Argo CD/Rollouts, Kustomize, and OCI registries.
- Strong scripting abilities using languages such as Python, Shell, or Groovy.
Nice to Have
- Practical experience managing Kubernetes clusters using Cluster API (CAPI) is strongly preferred.
- Hold AWS or Kubernetes-related certifications is considered advantageous.
