Fidelity is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join its Institutional Technology group in Galway. You will be part of an exciting new team designing, developing, and implementing high-performance, secure, and scalable applications to support the rollout of new Digital Asset financial instruments in the Institutional market.
What You'll Do
- Serve as a senior member of a scrum team responsible for delivering key customer features.
- Work closely with product owners, scrum masters, systems analysts, architects, and other developers to design, build, test, and deliver features for Fidelity Institutional’s digital experience.
- Deliver high quality, innovative, and maintainable software solutions.
- Participate in architecture and application design.
- Mentor junior team members.
- Focus on the customer by demonstrating understanding of their business domain.
- Continuously improve technical competency by demonstrating knowledge and application of current technologies.

What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in an Information Technology related field.
- 5+ years of experience in software application design and development.
- Object-oriented development experience, primarily with Java/J2EE, Spring/SpringBoot, REST Services, Cloud, and CI/CD.
- Experience with Agile methodologies.
- Knowledge of test automation and test-driven development.
Nice to Have
- Front-end experience with Angular or other TypeScript/JavaScript languages.
- Experience or conceptual understanding of Blockchain.
