Dandy is seeking a Senior Software Engineer I, Infrastructure to join our Platform team. In this role, your mission will be to enhance developer productivity by creating tools, processes, and infrastructure that empower engineers to ship high-quality software swiftly and confidently.
What You'll Do
- Evolve CI/CD platforms with a focus on infrastructure automation and security to deliver faster, more reliable, and secure deployment pipelines.
- Design, build, and maintain core cloud infrastructure on our primary cloud provider (GCP).
- Develop and manage our container orchestration platform (Kubernetes) to ensure reliability, scalability, and efficiency.
- Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to automate the provisioning and configuration of cloud resources.
- Autonomously lead well-defined, multi-month infrastructure projects to ensure the stability and performance of production environments.
- Collaborate with product engineering teams to understand their infrastructure needs, providing guidance and building supportive solutions.
- Champion and implement best practices for cloud security and system reliability across the organization.
- Contribute to the team's roadmap and strategy by identifying opportunities for high-impact improvements.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of hands-on software engineering experience with a focus on backend, infrastructure, or SRE.
- Deep, hands-on experience with a major cloud provider (GCP, AWS, Azure) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Strong proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Terraform, Pulumi).
- Solid understanding of CI/CD systems (e.g., BuildKite, GitHub Actions, CircleCI) and their relation to infrastructure deployment.
- Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language (e.g., Go, Python, Bash).
- A collaborative mindset with a passion for building reliable and scalable systems.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Nice to Have
- Experience building internal developer platforms or portals.
- Familiarity with observability and monitoring platforms (e.g., Chronosphere, Prometheus, Grafana).
