Affirm is looking for a Senior Software Engineer, Fullstack (Servicing International). You will join the Servicing International team, focusing on building foundational platforms for purchase protection—including disputes and refunds—as part of our global expansion. Your work will ensure world-class user experiences in international markets, working with a remote team based in Poland.
What You'll Do
- Own and deliver quarterly goals for your team, leading engineers through ambiguity to solve open-ended problems.
- Support peers and stakeholders in the product development lifecycle by collaborating with product management, design, and analytics.
- Proactively identify project, process, technology, or business issues, advocate for them, and lead in solving them.
- Support the operations and availability of your team’s artifacts by creating and monitoring metrics and supporting on-call efforts.
- Foster a culture of quality and ownership by setting or improving code review and design standards.
- Help develop talent on your team by providing feedback and guidance.
What We're Looking For
- 4+ years of experience as a software engineer.
- Experience designing, developing and launching backend systems at scale with technologies like Python, Kotlin, AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes.
- Experience shipping web apps using declarative UI frameworks like React or Vue.
- Experience defining a technical plan for the delivery of a significant feature or system component.
- Proficient at making significant changes in a large code base safely.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with a global team.
