Software Vision AI Ltd is hiring a Senior Software Engineer (Frontend) on a contract basis to design, build, and maintain modern, performant web experiences used by millions. You will work closely with product, design, and engineering to evolve a large web application stack and contribute to architectural discussions.
What You'll Do
- Develop, maintain, and evolve robust, scalable web applications using React, Redux, TypeScript, Webpack, and Vite.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to design and implement new features for data visualization platforms and consumer-facing web portals.
- Translate UI/UX designs into high-quality, accessible, and user-friendly interfaces.
- Participate in the modernization of legacy systems and frontend architecture.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code, following engineering best practices.
- Perform code reviews, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure a high-quality and stable codebase.
- Contribute to architectural decisions, balancing technical debt, performance, scalability, and maintainability.
- Actively participate in agile ceremonies and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Use LLM / AI-assisted development tools to ramp up on large codebases, generate boilerplate, and accelerate delivery.
- Work autonomously on ambiguous problems, breaking them down into clear, actionable tasks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners and proactively reach out to stakeholders to gather requirements and unblock delivery.
- Mentor junior engineers and participate in technical design reviews.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of professional experience in frontend web development.
- Strong proficiency with TypeScript.
- Strong hands-on experience with React, Redux, Webpack, and Vite in complex, production-grade web applications.
- Solid experience using Git in collaborative development environments.
- Proven experience working in agile development environments and with CI/CD pipelines.
- Demonstrated ability to lead technical initiatives and drive alignment across multiple teams.
- Experience making architectural decisions in large-scale frontend systems.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, including debugging and resolving production issues at scale.
- Experience building and maintaining high-traffic web applications.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Nice to Have
- Experience working with cloud environments such as AWS.
- Experience with Backbone.js.
- Experience using Docker in development or deployment workflows.
- Comfort contributing to backend or API-related work when needed.
- Familiarity with relational databases and writing SQL.
- Advanced TypeScript expertise, including complex type systems and generics.
