Keeper Security, Inc. is hiring a Senior Software Engineer, Browser Extension

Join Keeper Security, Inc. as a Senior Software Engineer on our Browser Extension team. You will be responsible for developing and enhancing critical browser extension features that are reliable, secure, and easy to use for millions of users worldwide.

What You'll Do

• Design, build, and maintain high-quality, scalable, and secure features for the Keeper Browser Extension using JavaScript, React, Redux, and Jest.
• Work closely with product managers, UX/UI designers, and other engineers to define requirements and deliver an excellent user experience.
• Ensure high coding standards through test-driven development, writing unit tests with Jest, and active participation in code reviews.
• Continuously analyze, improve, and optimize the performance, reliability, and security of the browser extension.
• Review, maintain, and improve the current codebase, fixing bugs, implementing new features, and refactoring code for scalability.
• Keep up to date with the latest trends, best practices, and tools in web development, browser extensions, and cybersecurity.
• Help identify areas for process improvement, code refactoring, and technical debt resolution.

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of experience in JavaScript development, including proficiency in core JavaScript concepts.
• 3+ years of experience with React, Redux, Jest, and TypeScript.
• Strong experience with browser extension development and its unique challenges (e.g., cross-browser compatibility, browser APIs).
• Experience with modern web development tools and workflows, including Webpack, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Solid understanding of frontend architectures, including component-based development, state management, and UI/UX principles.
• Experience with testing frameworks such as Jest and writing comprehensive unit and integration tests.
• Ability to maintain and improve a large codebase, ensuring it remains stable, scalable, and maintainable.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to debug complex issues.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with remote teams.

Nice to Have

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience working with security technologies and understanding of cybersecurity principles, particularly regarding browser security and data protection.
• Experience with performance optimization for browser extensions, focusing on load times, memory management, and responsiveness.
• Familiarity with web standards (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and accessibility best practices.
