Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable backend services for merchant data processing
- Develop APIs to enable reliable data exchange between internal and external systems
- Ensure data consistency and integrity across distributed systems
- Collaborate with data engineers to streamline data pipelines
- Optimize system performance for low-latency data retrieval
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues in real time
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code
- Participate in architectural design and technical planning
- Support data governance and compliance requirements
- Monitor system health and proactively address scalability concerns
- Work closely with product teams to define data needs
- Maintain documentation for systems and workflows
- Implement security best practices in data handling
- Evaluate and integrate new technologies to improve platform capabilities
- Contribute to incident response and on-call rotations
Nice to Have
- Master’s degree in computer science or related field
- Experience with real-time data platforms and event-driven architectures
- Background in financial services or fintech systems
- Knowledge of data privacy regulations in Europe
- Contributions to open-source software projects
- Experience with large-scale data synchronization

- Exposure to GraphQL or gRPC
