DICK'S Sporting Goods is looking for a Senior Software Engineer - Automation to design and build best-in-class solutions in a remote capacity. You will be crucial in driving software development and maintenance, supporting enterprise systems, and contributing to technical strategy while helping to develop more junior teammates.

What You'll Do

Design and build best-in-class automation solutions.
Perform business and software analysis to identify areas for improvement.
Coordinate initiatives within a product team.
Support initiatives to ensure enterprise systems remain best-in-class.
Drive the development of existing software and contribute to new software projects.
Develop software that is fast, secure, and reliable to meet defined requirements.
Monitor, identify, and correct complex software defects.
Produce multiple concepts and prototypes for digital products and services.
Research and suggest ways to optimize solutions for user, business, performance, and quality needs.
Drive a maintenance roadmap to prioritize development work in line with business requirements.
Find root causes and implement resolutions promptly.
Assign short-term work schedules to a team based on storyboarding and backlog.
Develop your own capabilities and those of more junior team members through assessment, planning, training, and coaching.
Maintain an understanding of relevant technology, external regulation, and industry best practices.
Contribute to work within established program management plans.
Guide the design distribution of basic database resources and provide physical modeling and design services.
Support the collection of functional requirements using document analysis and workflow analysis.

What We're Looking For

Over 3 to 6 years of general software engineering experience.
4 to 6 months of basic experience coordinating the work of others.

Nice to Have

A Bachelor's degree or equivalent level of education.
