Decathlon Digital FR is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to join the Data Observability team. You will be responsible for creating and optimizing the data cockpit platform, enhancing data discoverability and observability across the entire company. This role combines technical leadership with a strong focus on improving data governance and supporting user teams.
What You'll Do
- Provide technical leadership for the data cockpit backend and frontend stack.
- Participate in implementing automated Data Governance through data contracts and the data cockpit.
- Proactively analyze functional needs and understand the daily life of users and their stakeholders.
- Act as an expert to guide data teams in the correct and effective use of our observability products.
- Actively contribute to the continuous improvement of our working methods (mob programming, TDD, robust documentation) to elevate the team's technical standards.
- Implement monitoring and automation solutions to significantly reduce manual workload and improve overall team efficiency.
What We're Looking For
- Experience in reactive programming.
- Significant experience in end-to-end design and implementation of micro-service solutions.
- Good knowledge of monitoring and alerting tools.
- Deep knowledge of version control systems and continuous integration (Git/Github).
- Excellent communication and documentation skills, with a strong service sense and user-centered approach following a Product logic.
- Thrive in an agile and collaborative work environment (mob programming, code reviews).
- Proficiency in English allowing easy interaction with international teams and partners.

You will join a team of 5 (1 Product Manager, 4 Data Engineers), which is part of the Data Factory teams within Decathlon Digital.
