About the Role
The position involves designing, implementing, and optimizing low-level software for 5G user equipment, with emphasis on physical and data link layers. The candidate will work on protocol development, performance tuning, and integration in embedded environments.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop software for Layer 1 and Layer 2 components in 5G user equipment
- Implement and optimize physical layer signal processing algorithms
- Work on modulation, coding, and radio resource management functions
- Collaborate on protocol stack integration for 5G NR standards
- Debug and troubleshoot embedded software in real-time systems
- Contribute to system-level performance analysis and optimization
- Support testing and validation across lab and field environments
- Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to quality standards
- Integrate software with RF and baseband hardware components
- Analyze and resolve issues in multi-layer communication protocols
- Develop automated test procedures for regression and performance testing
- Work closely with system architects and RF engineers
- Maintain documentation for design, implementation, and test procedures
- Ensure compliance with 3GPP specifications
- Support cross-functional teams in resolving interoperability issues
- Optimize power consumption and throughput in UE software
- Contribute to software architecture and design decisions
- Implement security features in communication protocols
- Support integration with higher-layer network functions
- Participate in agile development cycles and sprint planning
