Lightspeed is hiring a Senior Software Developer to join our team in a permanent work-from-home role. You will focus on building and maintaining our Hospitality platform, including the POS, payments, and loyalty systems. You'll be responsible for writing clean, performant code and collaborating on technical architecture.
What You'll Do
- Work across multiple areas of the Hospitality platform, including POS, payments, and loyalty systems.
- Build features, fix bugs, improve performance, conduct code reviews, participate in peer programming, and respond to incidents.
- Collaborate with the Product team on spec review, architecture, systems design, and implementation.
- Contribute to innovation and tech talks, and help other developers to 'level up'.
- Work on common services, introduce new tooling or libraries, and document and evolve best practices.
- Contribute to the wider team to achieve organizational objectives.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience as a Senior Software Engineer.
- Experience in collaborative, test-driven, and agile full-stack development.
- Deep experience using PHP, Typescript, and React.
- Solid database knowledge (MySQL or Postgres), with ability to write efficient queries and optimise performance.
- Experience designing and maintaining RESTful APIs and integrating with third-party services.
- Experience with AWS, including services such as SQS, Lambda, and Redis.
