Keeper Security, Inc. is hiring a Senior Software Automation Engineer, PAM

About the Role

Keeper Security, Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Automation Engineer, PAM to architect, develop, and maintain advanced automation tooling and frameworks for our Privileged Access Management solutions. You will ensure quality is engineered into the product lifecycle by designing scalable systems, validating complex access-control workflows, and integrating automated testing across our CI/CD pipelines.

What You'll Do

  • Design, architect, and maintain scalable automation frameworks using Playwright and Pytest
  • Develop reusable automation libraries, tools, and utilities to support API, integration, and end-to-end testing
  • Build automation modules from scratch for PAM workflows including credential rotation, access provisioning, and session management
  • Automate secure authentication and identity flows including OAuth, SAML, and SSO
  • Validate cross-platform and cross-protocol access workflows (SSH, RDP, VNC, etc.)
  • Develop and execute automated testing for backend services, APIs, and cloud-hosted systems
  • Manage and automate containerized test environments using Docker and Kubernetes
  • Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or similar tools
  • Build automation systems that support AWS-based services including EC2, S3, Lambda, and related infrastructure
  • Monitor automation stability and report results using CloudWatch, S3, and internal metrics tooling
  • Investigate automation failures, perform root-cause analysis, and implement long-term stability improvements
  • Collaborate with Engineering, QA, Security, and Product teams to ensure features are testable, reliable, and automation-ready
  • Contribute to quality engineering standards, automation strategy, and best practices across the organization

What We're Looking For

  • 5–7+ years experience in software test automation, quality engineering, or software development in test
  • Strong programming skills with Python, TypeScript/JavaScript, Robot.JS, and familiarity with Java or Bash
  • Expert-level hands-on experience with Playwright (TypeScript) and Pytest (Python)
  • Proven experience architecting or building automation frameworks, not just authoring automated test cases
  • Deep understanding of API testing, microservices, and distributed system validation
  • Strong experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, IAM, networking concepts)
  • Advanced familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration for testing
  • Demonstrated experience integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines
  • Strong understanding of secure authentication protocols including OAuth, SAML, and identity providers
  • Ability to automate and troubleshoot remote access workflows (SSH, RDP, VNC)
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Proven ability to influence quality strategy and collaborate effectively across engineering teams
  • Must be a 'U.S. Person' due to involvement with FedRAMP compliance requirements

Nice to Have

  • Experience with API testing tools such as Postman, REST Assured, or custom frameworks
  • Experience contributing to automation metrics, dashboards, or observability systems
  • Knowledge of zero-trust architecture, encryption fundamentals, and secure testing practices
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent industry experience

Technical Stack

  • Automation: Playwright, Pytest, Robot.JS
  • Languages: Python, TypeScript, JavaScript, Java, Bash
  • Cloud & Infrastructure: AWS (EC2, S3, Lambda, IAM), Docker, Kubernetes, GitHub Actions
  • Protocols & Systems: OAuth, SAML, SSO, SSH, RDP, VNC, CloudWatch

Team & Environment

This role is part of the Quality Engineering organization, collaborating closely with software engineers, security engineers, SRE, and product teams.

Benefits & Compensation

  • Medical, Dental & Vision (inclusive of domestic partnerships)
  • Employer Paid Life Insurance & Employee/Spouse/Child Supplemental life
  • Voluntary Short/Long Term Disability Insurance
  • 401K (Roth/Traditional)
  • A generous PTO plan that celebrates your commitment and seniority (including paid Bereavement/Jury Duty, etc)
