Braze is hiring a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join its Cloud Compute team. In this fully remote role based in Spain, you will be responsible for ensuring the robust and scalable foundation of our entire platform. You will manage Kubernetes clusters, enhance observability, fortify infrastructure reliability, and automate operational workflows.
What You'll Do
- Execute on your team's technical strategy on a year-long scale, tying it to business-impacting projects.
- Collaborate across product development teams to manage technical sustainability, risks, and trade-offs.
- Act as a force-multiplier by defining and advocating for technical solutions and operational processes.
- Own your team’s operations and availability through proper monitoring, playbooks, testing, and alerting.
- Foster a culture of quality by setting code review and design standards for your team.
- Help develop talent through feedback, guidance, and leading by example.
- Participate in an on-call rotation.
What We're Looking For
- Extensive track record developing and deploying highly available distributed systems using technologies like AWS and Kubernetes.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills on cloud and distributed systems.
- Extensive experience automating deployments using Kubernetes.
- Experience delivering major features or system components by defining technical and execution plans.
- Ability to write high-quality, easily understood code.
- Thrive in ambiguity and comfortable moving from low-level language idioms to large system architecture.
- A growth trajectory demonstrating mastery of gathering and iterating on feedback.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective global collaboration.
