This role is central to ensuring the stability and scalability of a cloud-native financial technology platform. The engineer will lead system design, support critical applications, guide incident management, and contribute to a collaborative engineering culture in a rapidly growing environment.
Responsibilities
- Design and deploy scalable, cloud-based systems using AWS and Kubernetes
- Provide operational support for core financial services applications developed in Java
- Guide and mentor fellow engineers to strengthen team capabilities
- Lead planning for incident response, disaster recovery, and system capacity
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to define and track service level objectives and indicators
- Drive initiatives that enhance system reliability, performance, and cost-effectiveness of infrastructure
Requirements
- Minimum of 7 years in Site Reliability Engineering or a closely related technical role
- Deep experience with AWS, Kubernetes, and infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform
- Strong programming background with proven automation skills
- Experience supporting business-critical applications built with Java
- Ability to quickly learn and adapt to modern technology stacks
- Demonstrated ownership and accountability for system performance and uptime
- Excellent communication skills, including active listening and clear technical dialogue
- Resilient mindset with determination to overcome challenges

- Familiarity with DevOps tooling and AI-related technologies
- Hands-on experience with Apache Spark and AI systems

Compensation
Los Angeles, CA salary range: $181,000 - $225,000 USD. Equity: Stock Options (ISOs) for eligible roles. Regular pay reviews and performance-based adjustments.
