Altruist is hiring a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to play a key part in building and maintaining the reliability of systems that power our fintech platform. This is a high-impact role supporting critical fintech business logic applications and architecting scalable infrastructure.
What You'll Do
- Lead the design and implementation of complex, scalable systems on AWS and Kubernetes.
- Support critical fintech business logic applications built in Java.
- Mentor other engineers and champion reliability best practices.
- Own strategies for incident response, disaster recovery, and capacity planning.
- Partner with product and engineering teams to define and monitor SLOs/SLIs.
- Drive initiatives to improve performance, reliability, and infrastructure cost-efficiency.
What We're Looking For
- 7+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering or a related role.
- Expertise in AWS services and Kubernetes, including infrastructure as code tools like Terraform.
- Strong programming skills and experience with automation frameworks.
- Experience supporting Java-based business applications.
Nice to Have
- Experience with DevOps infrastructure tools and AI technologies.
- Experience with Apache Spark and AI technologies.
- B.A. / B.S. degree in relevant fields such as Computer Science.

- Compensation: $181,000-$225,000 USD + equity: Stock Options (ISOs) for eligible roles.

Work Mode
