About the Role
This role involves developing and operating enterprise Kubernetes-based cloud services, improving scalability through automation, enhancing monitoring systems, and enabling customer self-service. The engineer will work in a blameless, collaborative environment, contributing code, resolving escalated issues, and exploring AI-driven improvements within agile workflows.
Responsibilities
- Write and maintain code to enhance service scalability and system reliability
- Develop automated tests and engage in peer code reviews to improve software quality
- Mentor team members and share expertise to strengthen team capabilities
- Participate in scheduled on-call rotations, including limited weekend and holiday coverage
- Apply sustainable incident management practices and lead post-incident reviews without blame
- Address and resolve escalated technical issues from global support teams
- Collaborate within a small agile team to refine SRE tools, support teammates, and drive self-improvement
- Investigate and integrate emerging AI technologies into development workflows and tooling
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
- Minimum of five years managing Linux servers, particularly RHEL, CentOS, or Fedora, in cloud environments such as AWS, GCE, or Azure
- At least three years of hands-on experience with enterprise monitoring systems; familiarity with Prometheus is beneficial
- Three or more years using configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef
- Two or more years programming in an object-oriented language, with preference for Golang, Java, or Python
- Two or more years delivering hosted services in production environments
- Proven ability to diagnose and resolve system-level issues efficiently and accurately
- Strong grasp of TCP/IP networking fundamentals and common protocols including DNS and HTTP
- Effective communication skills with experience interacting directly with customers and delivering technical presentations

- One or more years of experience working with Kubernetes
- One or more years of experience using Docker-based container technologies
