Allergan Aesthetics, an AbbVie company, is hiring a Senior Scientist II to advance novel biotherapeutics into human clinical studies. This role is focused on hands-on cell line and process development, driving projects from the lab toward clinical application.
What You'll Do
- Perform hands-on CHO cell line development, characterization studies, cell culture process development, and protein purification.
- Implement and interpret data from preclinical studies using platforms like flow cytometry, IHC, next generation sequencing, and microarrays.
- Train colleagues in established methodology, troubleshoot assays, and help develop novel techniques.
- Develop scientific presentations and reports for internal review meetings and external collaborators.
What We're Looking For
- A MS in Cell & Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Bioengineering, or Chemical Engineering.
- 3+ years of academic or industry laboratory research experience.
- 3+ years performing cell line and/or cell culture development with knowledge of cell/molecular biology research, signaling, and tumor/immune cell interactions.
- 3+ years performing bioreactor processes, cell culture optimization, and molecular biology techniques.
- 3+ years working with lab automation.
- 3+ years engaging in sample prep and data analysis for Next Gen Sequencing.
- 3+ years developing novel assays by applying cell culture and molecular biology knowledge.
- 3+ years leading scientists to perform Cell Culture Process Optimization.
- 3+ years training and mentoring junior scientists or students in an academic lab.
