Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and scale write-ahead log-based replication systems that stream database changes via Kinesis to data warehouses, ensuring ordered delivery and handling millions of events daily.
- Develop and manage change data capture infrastructure to synchronize data across platforms, supporting real-time analytics and event-driven application logic.
- Create reusable software libraries and patterns for consuming Kinesis and SNS streams, promoting consistent error handling, processing logic, and monitoring across teams.
- Collaborate directly with product engineering teams to build custom real-time data solutions aligned with business requirements, offering technical expertise and implementation support.
- Enforce data integrity in streaming pipelines by implementing exactly-once processing, retry mechanisms, dead letter queues, and comprehensive monitoring systems.
- Build monitoring dashboards and alerting systems to track pipeline performance, latency, data quality, and system health using the LGTM observability stack.
- Provide technical mentorship on event-driven architectures, lead system design reviews, and represent scalability initiatives in cross-team planning discussions.
- Make informed architectural decisions by evaluating trade-offs in distributed systems using deep technical expertise and prior experience.
- Uphold compliance with the company's Code of Conduct, including timely reporting of any observed violations.
