NVIDIA is looking for a Senior Research Scientist - Digital Biology to develop tools that transform healthcare through accelerated computing. In this role, you will work on challenging problems to redefine possibilities in drug discovery, virtual cell, and beyond within a collaborative environment.
What You'll Do
- Develop, implement, benchmark, and accelerate multimodal models in digital biology, drug discovery, virtual cell, and virtual patient.
- Develop large-scale training and inference methods for foundation models in the field.
- Publish original research and release open source software.
- Collaborate with external research leaders in digital biology.
- Collaborate with research and engineering teams across NVIDIA to transfer research to products and services.
- Mentor emerging researchers.
What We're Looking For
- Advanced degree in a quantitative field such as Computational Biology, Computer Science, Computational Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of relevant experience with hands-on training and evaluation of models in digital biology.
- Publication record in the computational biology domain.
- Excellent skills in working with large-scale machine learning/AI systems and compute infrastructure.
- Proficiency in modern machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX, Warp.
- Ability to learn from and teach others to keep up to speed on the latest developments and tools in the field.
- Ability to work together in a tight-knit team environment.
Nice to Have
- Experience developing novel methods in machine learning.
- Strong engineering skills.
- Background in open source development.

- Compensation: 160,000 USD - 258,750 USD for Level 3, and 184,000 USD - 299,000 USD for Level 4. + equity: Eligible for equity
