Inductive Automation is looking for a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer I (Microservices) to join our team. You will be responsible for the quality and reliability of our distributed systems, focusing on testing strategies for microservices architecture. This role requires a deep understanding of software testing methodologies applied to complex, interconnected services.
What You'll Do
- Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test strategies for microservices-based systems
- Create and maintain automated test suites for API, integration, and performance testing
- Collaborate with development teams to identify, document, and track software defects
- Perform root cause analysis on complex system failures and performance bottlenecks
- Champion quality assurance best practices throughout the software development lifecycle
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of professional experience in software quality assurance
- Proven experience testing microservices architectures and distributed systems
- Expertise in designing and implementing automated API and integration tests
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and CI/CD pipelines
- Ability to analyze requirements and create detailed test plans and test cases
Nice to Have
- Experience with performance and load testing tools for microservices
- Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration platforms
- Familiarity with cloud platforms and their testing implications
- Background in programming or scripting to enhance test automation
