Encora is hiring a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer with geoscience domain experience to collaborate with global development teams from Europe, Canada, and the US. Your work will be central to ensuring software quality, reliability, and user satisfaction throughout the entire development lifecycle, from initial planning through deployment and support.
What You'll Do
- Estimate software testing efforts based on technical specifications.
- Provide input to improve product effectiveness, integration, and usability.
- Create, document, and execute software tests for the acceptance of new feature functionality.
- Execute and manage the manual regression test suite.
- Identify software defects and usability issues in the development and stability cycles of the software.
- Validate defect fixes.
- Manage the automation backlog for the product and work with automation engineers to improve auto test coverage.
- Create synthetic data and organize client project data within the OpenWorks/Oracle database.
- Design and execute tests which measure the performance of the software given varying hardware specifications.
- Measure and report stability of the product via test suite results and defect inflow/outflow.
- Identify and escalate project risks.
What We're Looking For
- Hands-on experience using Agentic AI to accelerate productivity.
- BS or MS in Geology, Geophysics, Computer Science or a related Engineering discipline.
- Proficient with both Windows and Linux platforms.
- Team player willing to coach junior team members and cooperate on cross-functional problem solving.
Nice to Have
- Previous experience with Landmark’s suite of products.
- Knowledge of Azure DevOps for defect reporting and test case creation/execution.
- Experience with OpenWorks/Oracle project data management.
- Familiarity with CI/CD principles and tools technologies, such as GitLab.
- Software development experience.
- Experience working in an Agile development environment.
- Hands-on experience using automation tools for quality assurance.
