Pointr is looking for a Senior QA Engineer to help ensure the high quality of its software platform deliverables. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing exploratory and automated tests, guaranteeing the best customer experience and highest Defect Removal Efficiency (DRE), while helping to build a test-driven culture and practice.
What You'll Do
- Develop and execute exploratory (manual) and automated tests to ensure quality among the Pointr platform’s different software products.
- Design and implement tests, test, and debug software to find bugs, and define corrective actions with the development team.
- Guarantee the best customer experience and the highest Defect Removal Efficiency (DRE).
- Help build a test-driven culture and practice that leads to improved product quality and sustainable excellence.
What We're Looking For
- 4+ years of QA experience with test automation and documentation.
- Working knowledge of at least one of the following languages: C#/Java/Python/(Node)JS.
- Solid understanding of QA processes, best practices, testing techniques, and methodologies.
- Hands-on experience in working with testing frameworks such as Cypress, WDIO, and Playwright.
- Hands-on experience in working with test automation tools and frameworks such as JMeter, Appium, Postman, etc.
- Experience in writing & maintaining automated UI test procedures for both Web UI, Web API, and native mobile applications.
- Working knowledge of Docker and GitHub Actions.
- Good understanding of CI/CD methodology and tools.
- Ability to write clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases, and to clearly document them and communicate testing procedures/results to a greater team.
- Knowledge of Cucumber and Gherkin syntax.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Able to work independently as well as part of a greater team.
- Good communication skills in English.
Nice to Have
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields.
- Good knowledge of SQL syntax.
- Experience with performance and/or security testing.
- Experience with Browser and Mobile application automation testing.
- Experience with software testing of microservice architectures.
- ISTQB (or other related) Certification.
