NICE is hiring a Senior Professional Services Engineer

Lead the technical implementation of mission-critical public safety systems at customer sites, ensuring secure, reliable, and fully integrated deployments. This role is central to configuring, installing, and validating complex software and hardware solutions within diverse network and telephony infrastructures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee end-to-end technical installations, including server configuration, virtualization platform setup, and hardware component integration.
  • Deploy and commission applications remotely or on-site, ensuring alignment with technical specifications and customer prerequisites.
  • Integrate systems with customer networks, PBX platforms, and CTI environments using protocols such as SIP, SIPREC, ISDN, and VoIP.
  • Apply security best practices, including data encryption, firewall configuration, and antivirus deployment.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues during implementation, collaborating with support teams and maintaining ownership through resolution.
  • Complete comprehensive site documentation, as-built records, and Installation Test Procedures to ensure operational readiness.
  • Deliver technical training to customer personnel and contribute lessons learned to internal knowledge resources.
  • Maintain accurate records in ticketing systems, provide regular status updates, and coordinate closely with project management teams.
  • Support after-hours and holiday deployments as required by project timelines.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of three years of hands-on implementation experience in customer-facing technical roles.
  • Proven expertise in Windows Server environments, SQL scripting, networking, and telephony systems.
  • Strong understanding of database configuration, security protocols, and system administration.
  • Ability to travel extensively on short notice and work outside standard business hours, including nights and weekends.
  • Direct experience with telephony integration, hardware troubleshooting, and network analysis tools such as Wireshark.

Preferred Background

  • Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Certifications such as Security+, A+, Network+, MCSE, or MCP are highly valued.
  • Experience with Cisco CUCM, Avaya, or other enterprise telephony platforms.
  • Familiarity with public safety environments, CTI/CDR systems, and voice recording solutions.
  • Hands-on skills in server maintenance, component replacement, and serial communication troubleshooting.

Technical Environment

Proficiency with Windows Server 2008–2019, MS SQL and MySQL, Active Directory, PowerShell scripting, IIS, firewalls, XML/JSON, data encryption, and telephony protocols including SIP, ISDN, T1, and analog/digital voice systems. Experience with Log4Net logs, audio codecs, and platforms like Cisco, Avaya, Airbus Vesta, and West Viper is essential.
