Responsibilities
- Work closely with product management and stakeholders to assess customer, business, and market demands, aligning with the product portfolio vision and roadmap for the safety training, compliance suite, and legacy PublicSchoolWORKS offerings.
- Define and lead the product strategy to boost customer adoption and support new sales through a cloud-based, mobile-ready SaaS platform.
- Collaborate with Product Marketing to analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive dynamics.
- Engage directly with customers to gather insights and validate product concepts and strategic direction.
- Coordinate with client services and professional services teams to improve implementation speed and enhance customer experience.
- Assess customer and market requirements to guide sprint planning priorities and shape product roadmap direction.
- Apply Agile methodologies to work with engineering and design leads, prioritizing customer needs, technical debt, security issues, bugs, and other development tasks to maintain a refined backlog.
- Use product discovery methods and performance metrics to analyze usage patterns, risks, and data insights for informed decision-making.
- Establish and deliver on ambitious yet achievable timelines in collaboration with product, development, creative, and other teams.
- Lead cross-functionally to remove obstacles across Hosting, Support, Marketing, Training, and Sales that hinder desired outcomes.
- Oversee the full product lifecycle—from concept to launch, organizational readiness, go-to-market execution, and ongoing adoption and monetization.
- Articulate and share the product vision and roadmap across short-, mid-, and long-term planning horizons.
- Maintain consistent communication across technology, development, support, implementation, sales, and marketing teams during execution.
- Create, present, and implement product plans, partnership strategies, positioning materials, white papers, briefs, sales and partner training, and competitive assessments.
- Act as the primary expert on the product, delivering internal and external presentations, demos, and training at events and with customers and partners.
- Travel as required for industry conferences, sales support, speaking engagements, and team meetings.
- Contribute to additional relevant initiatives as assigned.
