Bestow is looking for a Senior Product Designer I to shape our digital platform, making insurance more accessible and human-centered. In this role, you will own the end-to-end design process for medium-complexity initiatives, transforming complex insurance concepts into user-friendly experiences.
What You'll Do
- Own the end-to-end design for medium-sized initiatives within your product area.
- Collaborate with product managers to define problems, outline solutions, and establish success criteria.
- Conduct research through user interviews, usability testing, and data analysis to validate key design decisions, uncover insights, and drive product strategy.
- Create diagrams, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs that effectively communicate your vision to stakeholders.
- Partner with engineering during implementation to ensure design integrity while balancing technical constraints.
- Contribute to team design quality through peer feedback and collaboration, beginning to mentor junior designers.
- Advocate for user-centered design within your product team and immediate stakeholders.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of product design experience, with exposure to complex B2B or SaaS products.
- Portfolio demonstrating complex problem-solving skills, systems thinking, and a keen attention to visual details.
- Proficiency in design and prototyping tools like Figma or Framer, and exploring AI tooling in your design practice.
- Comfortable operating within ambiguity on familiar problem types; learning to navigate ambiguity on novel challenges.
- Demonstrated ability to influence and lead multiple projects simultaneously across a product area.
- Developing proficiency in user research methods including interviews, usability testing, and synthesis.
- Experience contributing to design systems and component libraries.
- Strong analytical skills and experience using data tools to inform decision making.
- Excellent communication skills with demonstrated success working in cross-functional teams.
- Experience translating business requirements into design solutions with clear rationale.
- Comfortable independently managing medium-complexity projects with some guidance on larger strategic initiatives.
- Growing skills in stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration.
