HSBC Group is looking for a Senior Product Designer to lead the end-to-end design of digital experiences across platforms and champion a user-centered design approach. What You'll Do
- Lead the end-to-end design of digital experiences across platforms, including discovery, wireframes, visual design, and interactive prototypes.
- Write and review concise, user-friendly microcopy that helps guide users through tasks, ensuring a seamless and intuitive experience.
- Champion a user-centered design approach, conducting or supporting research to understand user needs, pain-points and behavior.
- Collaborate with product owners, developers and stakeholders to define problems, align on goals and co-create solutions.
- Translate complex customer journeys and business requirements into clear, intuitive, and visually engaging interfaces.
- Drive the use of design systems and help evolve components in alignment with HSBC’s global brand and UI standards.
- Present and communicate design work with clarity, confidence, and rationale to stakeholders at various levels.
- Support accessibility and compliance standards, embedding inclusive design practices throughout the design lifecycle.
- Coach and mentor mid-level and junior designers, providing feedback and guidance on design quality and process.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of design tools, systems, and ways of working.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in UX and UI design, preferably in a fast-paced or large-scale environment.
- Experience with UX writing and crafting clear, user-centered copy as part of the design process.
- Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma.
- A strong portfolio demonstrating responsive and mobile-first design and showing how those designs have created meaningful impact or delivered value to users or the business.
- Familiarity with user journey mapping, UI/UX research, and workflow design.
- Working knowledge of accessibility principles and how to implement them.
- Experience collaborating in Agile or cross-functional teams.
- Experience working on global projects or in multinational environments, able to balance global design consistency with local market differences.
- Excellent communication skills and comfort working across cross-functional team.
- Confidence mentoring others and contributing to a culture of growth and excellence.
- Portfolios must be presented.
