Lead the future of water solutions in food and beverage as a Senior Principal Engineer shaping our national practice. You’ll define strategy, expand client relationships, and direct complex water and wastewater projects from concept through delivery.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and execute a focused market strategy for water services in the food and beverage industry
- Direct high-profile, technically challenging projects, ensuring quality, budget, and client satisfaction
- Lead and mentor engineering teams, fostering professional growth and technical excellence
- Build and manage client portfolios, serving as trusted advisor on critical accounts
- Collaborate across offices to align service offerings with evolving industry demands
- Represent the firm at conferences, professional societies, and client meetings to strengthen visibility and reputation
- Drive business development initiatives, contributing to long-term growth and market expansion
- Oversee proposal development and lead client engagements with regulatory and operations stakeholders
- Perform fieldwork, including process troubleshooting and contractor oversight, as needed
- Support broader company initiatives and cross-sector market development
What You Bring
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license and a bachelor’s degree in civil, chemical, or environmental engineering
- Minimum of 15 years of progressive consulting experience, with deep expertise in water supply, treatment, and reuse for industrial and municipal clients
- Proven success managing multidisciplinary teams and growing a technical practice
- Strong understanding of federal and state environmental regulations
- Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills
- Willingness to travel regularly, including overnight trips, and operate vehicles for business purposes
- Valid U.S. driver’s license with a clean driving record
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree in engineering
- OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification with current refreshers
Work Environment
This hybrid role offers flexibility across multiple U.S. offices including Boise, Phoenix, Pittsburgh, Houston, Atlanta, and other locations. You’ll balance fieldwork, client sites, and office collaboration, with regular travel to support project and business needs.
