About the Role

Columbia University's School of Professional Studies is hiring a Senior Online Program Facilitator for its Pre-College Programs. Reporting to the Assistant Director for Pre-College, you will serve as the primary resource for instructors and facilitators, handling day-to-day administrative, classroom technology, and social media tasks to ensure program success.

What You'll Do

  • Serve as the primary resource to 30+ Online Program Facilitators, leading onboarding and training sessions, troubleshooting technology issues, and supporting social media content administration.
  • Attend training sessions to learn online curricular technology to serve as a resource to program and instructional staff.
  • Lead the proofreading of student evaluation letters written by instructors.
  • Manage and organize proofreading documents in Google Drive folders and update the supervisor with daily progress reports.
  • Assist with the planning and execution of social media campaigns.
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned or requested.

What We're Looking For

  • High School Diploma or High School equivalency diploma.
  • One semester of experience with Columbia University’s Pre-College Programs.
  • Must have completed at least one academic year of study at an American college or university by the start of the internship.

  • Ability to work independently on multiple work streams.
  • Ability to handle confidential information in a mature, professional manner.

Job Description: Reporting to the Assistant Director for Pre-College, the incumbent performs a variety of tasks to support the Pre-College Programs at the School of Professional Studies. Technologies include but are not limited to, CourseWorks and Zoom * Lead the proofreading of student evaluation letters written by instructors * Manage and organize proofreading documents in Google Drive folders and update the supervisor with daily progress reports * Assist with the planning and execution of social media campaigns Performs other duties and projects as assigned or requested Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications* High School Diploma or High School equivalency diploma * One semester of experience with Columbia University’s Pre-College Programs * Must have completed at least one academic year of study at an American college or university by the start of the internship Preferred Qualifications* Proven ability to effectively work and lead within a collaborative team setting * Ability to work independently on multiple work streams​​​​​​​ * Ability to handle confidential information in a mature, professional manner​​​​​​​ * Passion for social media content creation and management Additional Information: The rate of pay for this role is $25.00/hour.
