Flock Safety is hiring a Senior Network Security Engineer

Flock Safety is hiring a Senior Network Security Engineer to ensure the security of our foundational infrastructure, from cloud environments to devices and endpoints. You will design, implement, and manage critical security controls like firewalls, VPNs, and secure network segmentation, primarily within AWS.

What You'll Do

• Participate in the management of Cloud network primitives using code-forward approaches (Terraform, Go, Python).
• Manage Flock's firewall infrastructure in conjunction with the Product Security team.
• Help architect and build Flock's client and customer VPN infrastructure in partnership with the SRE team.
• Design and implement network security boundary protections for Flock's cloud environments.
• Partner with team members to manage and maintain Flock's web application firewall infrastructure.
• Partner with hardware engineering teams to design secure networking solutions for Flock edge devices.
• Automate repetitive tasks in network management into code solutions.
• Build partnerships with engineering teams to embed security in the development lifecycle.
• Respond to security incidents as an SME and perform root cause analysis.

What We're Looking For

• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to read, understand, and write Terraform and Cloudformation.
• Ability to read, understand, and write Python or Golang.
• Ability to present complex technical topics to non-technical audiences.
• 5+ years of security or infrastructure engineering experience.
• 5+ years of experience working with AWS.
• Experience managing modern firewalls on cloud properties.
• Working deep knowledge of cloud network stacks (AWS).
• Working knowledge of network security.
• Experience writing standard operating procedures and technical documentation.
• Ability to conduct code and security architecture reviews.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines using Github, Terraform, and Jenkins.
• Experience managing web application firewalls.

• Compensation: $130,000-170,000 + Flock Safety Stock Options
