About the Role
This role involves managing and supporting critical network infrastructure with a focus on rapid incident resolution, system monitoring, and maintaining optimal network performance in a 24/7 environment.
Responsibilities
- Monitor network systems for outages, anomalies, and performance degradation
- Respond to alerts and escalate issues based on severity and protocols
- Troubleshoot and resolve network problems affecting connectivity and services
- Perform root cause analysis for recurring network incidents
- Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations and changes
- Support network device deployment and configuration
- Collaborate with engineering teams during major incidents
- Execute network maintenance during scheduled windows
- Ensure compliance with security and operational policies
- Utilize monitoring tools to proactively identify potential issues
- Track and report on key performance metrics and service levels
- Participate in on-call rotations for after-hours support
- Validate backups and disaster recovery procedures
- Implement network automation to improve efficiency
- Assist with capacity planning and performance tuning
- Respond to security events related to network infrastructure
- Coordinate with vendors for hardware and service support
- Follow change management processes for network updates
- Provide technical guidance during incident response
- Ensure network configurations adhere to best practices
Nice to Have
